Our Nursing Department has achieved Magnet® recognition. Our Nursing Assistants provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, with duties that support the operation of the nursing unit.
Our 5 Pavilion Med/Surg Unit houses 25 beds primarily focusing on stroke and dialysis patients. We are Joint Commission Certified as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The unit is staffed by RNs, Nursing Assistants and Unit Coordinators and is supported by a management team of Charge Nurses, Clinical Manager, Assistant Clinical Manager and Director. The unit offers a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to re-prioritize throughout the day. Minimum Requirements
Education Training and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
Training and/or experience at an acute care or skilled nursing facility or student nurse with hospital based clinical experience.
Basic computer skills: keyboard, mouse use. Ability to complete data entry on clinical documentation screens. Ability to use email and internet. Ability to successfully complete on the job training for CCH computer programs. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
Licensure/Certification
CPR certification required
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification preferred.
